Safeguarding
Safeguarding at Peartree Way Nursery School
At Peartree Way Nursery the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the centre of everything we do. Children need to feel safe and secure in order for learning to take place and our school culture of safeguarding including our policies and procedures fully support this.
We have a whole school approach to safeguarding and keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility and all staff have regular safeguarding training and updates.
In addition we have 6 Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL's) who are Level 2 trained and receive regular updates from the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.
Deb Willcox, Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL
Siân Gardiner, Deputy Headteacher, SENCo and DSL
Emma Lacey, Office Manager and DSL
Keelie Simpson, Pre-School Lead and DSL
Claudia Marin, Voyagers Lead and DSL
Oana Vacaru, Inclusion Lead and DSL
Kelly Nichol, Safeguarding Governor
The role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is to safeguard the students, staff, and school community, support with mental wellbeing and provide emotional support to students in need.
